GREEN EGG
is the official Journal of the Church of All Worlds. Its mission is to save the world for
those of us who like it here and plan to be back,
life after life. GREEN EGG is a mirror which
shows how wonderful are Gaia's children, each and
all, and how we blaze with intelligent passion as we
waken and heal ourselves, each other, and our Mother.
A little
Green Egg history
from the Church of All Worlds website:
"Green
Egg Magazine was the flagship publication of the
Church of All Worlds. During its long tenure it
brought innovative, quality writing and information
to the worldwide pagan community. In 2001, financial
circumstances forced the closure of the magazine.
"Even
before Green Egg closed its doors in 2001, people
were crying out for its return! After a long wait, we
are happy to announce the Revival of Green Egg
Magazine as an online publication!
"In
1968, following a move to St. Louis, the Church of
All Worlds was incorporated. In March of that year,
the GREEN EGG appeared. From its inauspicious
beginnings as a one-page ditto sheet, it grew over 80
issues into a 60-page journal, becoming the most
significant periodical in the Pagan movement during
the 1970s and made Tim Zell, its editor, a major
force in Neo-Paganism (a term which Zell coined). It
was also the major instrument of the Church's
expansion."
--J. Gordon Melton, Encyclopedia of American
Religions, 1979
"It is popular
today to talk about 'synergy'-a combination that has
a greater effect than the simple addition of its
components-and that perhaps best describes the effect
of GREEN EGG. It connected all the evolving and
emerging Goddess and Nature religions into one
phenomenon: the Neo-Pagan movement."
--Margot Adler, Drawing Down the Moon, 1979 &
1987
"GREEN EGG
gives me a new perspective... I read the GREEN EGG
because it has in it things I do not find
elsewhere."
--Robert A. Heinlein, author of Stranger in a
Strange Land
